In this marvellous and immersive performance, accentus and conductor Leonardo García Alarcón give new life to the virtuosity of Italian vocal polyphony from the Renaissance and baroque eras. They journey alongside Gregorio Allegri, maestro di capella of the Sixtine Chapel and author of the famous Miserere, Alessandro Scarlatti, nicknamed the “Italian Orfeo”, but also Giovanni Giorgi and Luigi Rossi who knew great fame amongst the kings, princes and popes of their time.
