Franz Schubert
Symphonie n° 4 « Tragique »
Messe solennelle en la bémol
In his 5th Mass, we discover another side of Franz Schubert’s personality. Known for his Lieder, shared moments of intimacy for voice and piano, the composer deploys, in this work of sacred music, a sense of drama on a far greater scale. Written when he was just 25, the Mass bears witness, not only to a maturity beyond his years, but also to incandescent writing, striking in its freedom and originality. A work transcended by accentus with the complicity of Insula orchestra conducted by Laurence Equilbey.
