FIDELIO - Accentus English version

FIDELIO

Program

Ludwig van Beethoven
Fidelio

accentus joins forces again with the Orchestre de Paris to interpret Beethoven’s only opera: Fidelio. Through the magnitude of its orchestration and ultra-modern heroine, the score, reworked several times, occupies a special place in the history of lyrical music. Neither victim, nor fragile, Leonore, disguising herself as a man to save her husband, takes her destiny into her own hands, accompanied by music that bursts with vitality. A hymn to freedom and marital love in a concert version conducted by Simone Young.
