Yannick Nézet-Séguin has the symphonic repertory at his fingertips. After exploring the complete symphonies of Schumann and Mendelssohn with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, he now turns his attention to Beethoven. As part of the performance of the complete works at the Philharmonie, he teams up with accentus to revisit the Ninth, with its iconic “Hymn to Joy”, set in perspective against the Symphony n°1, i.e. the bookends of a colossal body of work, spanning 24 years of composition
