Program

Due to the impact of the health crisis on rehearsals, CARMEN production is cancelled.
The world’s most performed French opera returns to the scene of its premiere: the Salle Favart in Paris. From the children interpreted by the youth choir of the Opéra Comique to the soldiers, the cigarette factory girls and the crowd applauding the toreros, choral singing plays a central role in the opera, offering accentus a chance to open its season in style. In this production with Long Yu conducting the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, the line-up of star soloists is headed by Gaëlle Arquez in the title role.
