Carmen
When Carmen first premiered in 1875, Bizet never imagined that his opera would become the most performed in the world! Performed in the same venue it was premiered, the Opéra Comique, this version of Carmen chooses accentus to give colour and depth to the universe of the famous Bohemian and her soldiers, cigar makers and bullfighter-cheering crowds. The musical direction is entrusted to Long Yu, conductor of the Shanghai Symphonic Orchestra, and the stage direction to Andreas Homoki.
