BERLINER PHILHARMONIKER – SIR SIMON RATTLE - Accentus English version

BERLINER PHILHARMONIKER – SIR SIMON RATTLE

Program

Joseph Haydn
The Creation

As he prepares to take the helm at the London Symphony Orchestra, Sir Simon Rattle will bow out as conductor of the Berliner Philharmoniker in this Paris performance of a work from his favourite classical repertory. Joseph Haydn wrote the Creation oratorio with fervour and devotion when he was at his creative peak. As a worthy heir to the Enlightenment, he celebrates both the Creator and his faith in mankind and progress. The modernity of the music paved the way for Romanticism.
