To the moon and beyond! In 1875, Jacques Offenbach took inspiration from two novels by Jules Verne to create a sensational opéra-féerie. In this swirling score, lively choirs mingle with exuberant characters such as the King V’lan or the scientist Microscope. It is a story of earthlings, Selenites, love, and of hidden criticism of society… As stage director, Olivier Fredj transposes Offenbach’s work on a movie set, highlighting the power of imagination and of creating illusions.
